BEC Book Club
Are you wanting to read more books this year? Do you have a stack of books on your shelf that you have never cracked the cover on? Or a wish list a mile long that you have been meaning to order? Well, here is your sign! Sometimes reading is more fun when you can discuss it with other like-minded people, and you are may be more likely to do it with some social contingencies (peer pressure and CEU reinforcers)! Join us for some good reads this year!
Fridays at noon EST on Zoom
4 Supervision CEUs
Cost: $60
Feb. 21 - Mar. 14, 2025
We are going to kick off the year reading Dare to Lead by Brené Brown. The book will be broken into 4 parts, which we will discuss from a behavior analytic supervisor lens, using the BACB Supervisor Training Curriculum (BACB, 2022) as well as the BACB Ethics Code (BACB, 2020). Each week participants can earn one supervision CEU, totalling 4 Supervision CEUs if attending each week.
Who Should Join: Any behavior analyst who wants to learn how to be a more effective and daring leader, who wants their supervision to feel more in line with their values, and who wants to learn how to set boundaries so they can be generous with their time.
Sometime in June
Dates and Times TBD
This summer, we will read Building and Sustaining Meaningful and Effective Relationships As a Supervisor and Mentor, by Linda LeBlanc, Tyra Sellers, and Shahla Ala’i. The book lends itself to so much rich conversation and includes activities at the end of each chapter, perfect for book club discussions. We will split up CEUs to focus on ethics and supervision, depending on the week. Stay tuned for more info!
